Proverbs 22 verses 20 and 21 says, Have not I written to thee excellent things and counsels and knowledge, that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth, that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? We discussed the amazing fact that God wrote a book to communicate with lost mankind and how logical and reasonable it is that God would choose the medium of the printed page to communicate to man over a period of thousands of years. It just makes sense. And the Lord describes the two general categories of what he's written, counsels and knowledge. And we discussed this with the reality that those two main categories of counsels and knowledge then break down into many subcategories, giving us the information and facts that we need in order to have eternal life and to live in this life before eternal life commences. And the Lord says that He did this that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth. In other words, God didn't just write some words and say, now believe it on blind faith or else. No, God wrote to us in a book that includes material that makes the divine origin of the Bible undeniable. God has written to thee in such a way that, as he says, I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth. Periodically, someone will make the baseless accusation that you just believed the words of a book written thousands of years ago for no reason. No, that's not true. I've told the story and actually had one guy try to make videos to challenge me on the facts of the story in videos that he later deleted. But the fact is I was convinced by the undeniable divine nature of the scriptures That's what brought me to faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read about 100 clear messianic prophecies given between 400 years and 4,000 years before the birth of Christ, including his birth mother being a virgin, Genesis 3.15 and Isaiah 7.14, his lineage going through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, and then David. That's in Isaiah 9, 6, and 7. And that he'd be born in Bethlehem in Micah 5, 2. Those are just three. No one can choose their birth mother, their family lineage, or their birthplace. And then you add up all the odds of any one man fulfilling just 40 of these prophecies, and that comes to one in 10 to the 1,360th power. That means you write the number 10 and then count 1,360 zeros after it. It's a number we can't pronounce. It's just impossible odds, and yet Jesus did it. Then you study all the historical accuracy of the Bible, all the archaeological discoveries confirming the content of the Bible. Then you look at the history of the Bible, the history of the preservation of the Bible, and the hundreds of millions of changed lives. Then you look at the prophecies of the nation Israel and of the Jews. And you look at end-time Bible prophecy being fulfilled right before your eyes. God says he's written to us in counsels and knowledge that I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth. And he's done just that for anybody with eyes to see and ears to hear. If you lack confidence in God's word, we offer this guidance. First of all, trash the new mealy-mouthed, corrupt new Bible versions and stick to the tried and true King James Version. Take time to study all the fulfilled prophecies of the past that we've mentioned, and all the messianic prophecies, all the prophecies of Israel and the Jews, all the end-time prophecies that are taking place right now, and read books and watch documentaries from sound sources, and learn about the amazing accounts of discoveries confirming Bible history, geography, biographies of the people in the Bible, and the incredible history of biblical archeology. And through it all, Pray that the Lord will help you to faithfully read the Bible, memorize scripture, study the Bible, and follow sound Bible teachers who emphasize verse-by-verse expository Bible study. Because Romans 10, 17 says, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
