The second woe exposes that the pharisees hid under a veil of narcissistic self centered lives rather than fulfilling the the commandment to love their neighbor as themselves. They were focused on their own glory rather than the glory of God which is contrary to a humbled spirit that acknowledges one's total unworthiness and an embrace of Christ and His complete worthiness.
