The principle of verse #3 applies even today. We serve a Lord who even today wants to heal. He is on the look-out for wounded soldiers who not only need His healing but want it. He wants the broken hearts so he can mend them. We can look around the pews and see people who have fought in the battles, been beaten up, and God has brought healing to them. But God doesn't do the looking all by Himself, He employs us to go and reach the wounded every where we go. The wounded are everywhere that we open our eyes. We are to always proclaim the truth in love to any one who we come across. Being judge of who gets and who doesn't is not up to us. We have access to the cure that these people need. To run from the wounded is treason to our father and eternal country. The wounded need help. The wound is mortal to the soul. Now is the time to find and bind. Those who have been crippled by a fall need to be found and brought to the table for nourishment. Satan has wounded, sin has festered the wounds, and society will only be worried about self and too bad for the wounded. And lest we forget the spiritually self-inflicted wounds. Jesus is there for all. He wants us to show them compassion and care. Bring them to the throne of grace where they can get help.
