Genesis 38

To the casual reader, Genesis Chapter 38 looks like a strange interruption to the story of Joseph. But this is no "wasted space" (as we will find there is NO meaningless texts in our inspired canon of Scripture!). Satan is attacking the Messianic line. But Chapter 38 tells us how God triumphs, in spite of Judah's disobedience and failure. God is Sovereign and His plan shall never be thwarted. Jesus Christ is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and this chapter is part of the story behind that name of our Lord.
