For many American evangelicals, there is a casualness to worship that almost expects God to accept them exactly as they are. It's like: "Here I am God, You had better like it!" The reason for this casual approach is that there is an accompanying blindness when it comes to God's perfections. When God is seen as He really is, the approach to Him is careful, reserved, with awe.
