Warning: Don't Draw Back into Perdition

The apostle had given a loving exhortation, then a stern warning. The present text gives a stirring recollection of the days of their profession of faith. These are stated to call them away from apostasy or turning from the truth of God's free and sovereign Gospel in Christ. He concluded his thoughts saying, "we are...of them that believe to the saving of the soul". He set the table for his wonderful thoughts on faith.
