Christianity has its share of rituals. We baptize new believers. Every month we faithfully remember the death of our Lord by sharing in the ceremony we refer to as "the Lord's Supper" or "Communion". As important as these rituals are, there is no basis by which they should become the very heart and soul of our spiritual life as is common in liturgical services. There is a spiritual emptiness in merely performing rituals without any substance in doctrine which this message points out.
