Great Sermon! Awesome sermon. Bitterness can really destroy a person's life. It almost destroyed mine.

A Sermon on Bitterness Intro: The problem with the subjects like biterness, and sins like this is that we don't see it as bad as other sins for example drunkeness, but biterness is just as destructive as drunkeness.
1. Let Old Bitterness Die - We think that we have a right to biterness. Biterness is a root of evil that will spread its attack all over. The bitterness that you hold too is not of God. (see Eph. 4:31; Heb. 12:15) A person who is in bitterness feeds his biterness. (see Phil. 1:10). In life we are not as important as we imagine ourselves to be. We ignore all of God's blessings because of some stupid thing. A life that is lived in sin is a wasted life- and so is a bitter life.
2. Where Does Bitterness Comes From - pride. Because you are thinking about yourself. Also selfishness - that we are going to be happy all the time...in contrast to joy. Another source is a lack of remebrance of God's mercy. Bitter people have forgotten those things. Bitterness is a hindrance to growth and thanksgiving.
3. Why Should You Let Bitterness Go - a. We should beseech God to keep on the path to blessings.
b. Cast your care upon the Lord (1 Peter 5:7) - they were being persecuted.
c. Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Stephen repeated it, why can't we?
d. Show kindness to one another
