Those were representations of the idolatrous spirit of the age in that day. God’s people are called to live by His standards, provided for us in His Word. The temptation to be influenced by the worldliness of our day is very real. We must resist the pressure to corrupt Christianity with the idolatrous demands of this present evil age.
