Continuing are series through the book of Acts, this week we come to Acts 17:1-15 where we hear how Paul 'turned the world upside down' with his preaching. That would be quite some feat! In reality, Luke tells us he simply explained from the Old Testament scriptures that the Christ must suffer and die and be raised from the dead. He then declared Jesus of Nazareth to be the Christ – King and Lord of all. But that 'simple' reasoning was (and is!) enough to turn everything on its head.
Jesus IS Lord! He IS the King of kings and Lord of lords – there is no other! That might turn some heads, it might even turn some people's worlds upside down. But truth be told, I reckon Christ and the gospel turn everything the 'right way up'!
