The Church Age too has it's “blessing and a curse” aspects of the New Covenant in Christ's Blood. None of these conditions for blessings in any way change God's requirement to be saved. During the Church Age, just as in always, a person is saved individually by placing faith in the Promised Messiah and His work of redemption, now “finished” in the incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection/glorification of Jesus Christ. These conditions for blessing are what the Word of God calls “works.” Because so many today, and down through the Ages, do not distinguish between “works” as conditions for God blessings and faith as a sole condition for salvation, “works” and faith are mingled together to create a false gospel. |
