The 19th and final study of the book of Judges. The Israelites realize that Benjamin will cease to exist because they have destroyed all of them but for the 600 men that fled to the caves.
They unwisely made an oath not to give them wives of their own tribes so they decide that they will destroy another group--those of Jabesh-gilead for not coming to their meeting.
They save 400 virgins for Benjamin and must devise another way to get some more young women. They decide to have the Benjamites kidnap some brides who are together dancing in Shiloh. The final verse spells it all out:
Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
As bad as these last few chapters portray the nation of Israel, America is certainly the same insane asylum run by the inmates as national Israel in those days.
