With the root of salvation being nurtured and fed with the Word the growth will be evident. The effort of the believer to avail themselves and apply the means God has supplied must not be confused or misconstrued and a means of working for or earning salvation. This passage is addressed to those who are saved and the human responsibility for spiritual growth having been born again.
