Jesus invites the weary and heavy laden to come to Him for rest. What kind of weariness is He referring to? It is sin weariness. Weariness of personal sin. Everyone is tired of other people's sins. But are we tired of our own. Are we sick of self? Are we burdened and heavy laden because of our own corruptions? If so, there is good news. Christ gives rest to those who come to Him and who are weary of themselves. Are you weary of yourself?

Yes One also becomes more weary and burdened by the sin and damage one has inflicted upon others rather than the sin and damage others have inflicted upon us. We repent and turn to The Lord for restoration and we repent and turn to our neighbors and offer restoration and restitution. Love God, Love Neighbor. I’ve sinned against God and sinned against Neighbor. I think I’ve also sinned against myself? Especially when one sins against their own body?
