They knew the commandment, "You shall not steal," but in practice they were actually robbing God in tithes and offerings. Could part of our superficiality today be that we also are robbing God? But there is confusion today re: the NT pattern for giving. Are we, like our Old Covenant counterparts, supposed to tithe? Or are we freed from that responsibility?
