Do you ever remember a great exchange that took place when you were a kid?
When I was a Kid I could collect bottles and take them to the Milk Bar and there would be a Great Exchange.
I could take old Coke or Fanta Bottles to the Milk Bar and get 1 or 2 cents for them.
A great exchange… I could walk into the Milk Bar as poor boy and walk out as rich man. I could go home after my great exchange with anywhere between 5-10c in my pocket.
In 1967 you could buy a bottle of milk for 22c. Paddle Pops were about 3- 5c.
I was rich after the Great exchange.
Do you Christians are the richest people on earth?
There’s been a great exchange. On the Cross the one who was sinless…was made sin for us.
When we believe the Gospel we are given the Righteousness of Jesus Christ.
His right standing before a Holy God is credited to my account.
My sin was imputed to Him on Calvary. It was put to His account and His Righteousness was put to my account the moment I trusted Christ.
The Good News of Romans is you come to God as a poor man and when you understand the Gospel you leave as a Rich man.
