Will the church be secretly raptured before the tribulation or will the church go through it? This question has been greatly debated within the church. Dr. Fernandes looks at the different views on the rapture and where the Scriptures lead us to answer the question.
Great Sermon! There have been a couple of attempts to locate a ‚Äúsource‚ÄĚ for Darby's concept of the rapture. These attempts imply that Darby's concepts originated from a "false" (demonic) source. Samuel Prideaux Tregelles alleged that John Nelson Darby's concept of the rapture was taken from one of the charismatic utterances in Edward Irving's church. Since Tregelles regarded the utterances as ‚Äúpretending to be from God,‚ÄĚ his implication is that Darby's rapture is from a demonic source. Dave MacPherson built upon Tregelles's accusation, and claimed the source for Darby's rapture was from an utterance of Margaret MacDonald. However, scholars think there are major obstacles that render these accusations untenable. It is clear that Darby regarded the 1830 charismatic manifestations as demonic and not of God. Darby would not have borrowed an idea from a source that he clearly thought was demonic. Also Darby had already written out his pretribulation rapture views in January 1827, 3 years prior to the 1830 events and any MacDonald utterance. When MacDonald's utterance is read closely, her statements show her to hold a post-tribulationist position (‚Äúbeing the fiery trial which is to try us‚ÄĚ and ‚Äúfor the purging and purifying of the real members of the body of Jesus‚ÄĚ). For these an

Great Sermon! i actually agree with you on some things, the only thing i disagree with is the last trumpet...after the last trumpet there are the bowl judgments, so if we are going at the last trumpet, then there still is judgments that are going to come upon the earth, i think we may have to go thru some of it but not all of it. in the book Heaven is soo real, choo thomas says that Jesus told her that he would take us out pretrib, there will be people here that will be saved during the trib, and those are the ones that have to die for Jesus to be saved and refuse the mark. so there has to be something specail for them, we who are taken before the trib, will return with him on the white horses... no matter what, i still love Jesus and i appreciate your stance. i used to believe that we would go thru the trib, but after reading choo's book, now im pretrib. thanks and God bless..see you in Heaven!!

Great Sermon! i agree with you Pastor Phil. i've been studying this for several years. this is actually the only conclusion. tv preachers like van impe always leave out "at the last trump" in 1 corinthians 15. they purposely gloss over important details. of course he thinks the catholic church are brothers in the faith, even though their doctrines don't line up with the word of God. Keep preaching the truth. God bless you

Interesting Speaker I like listening to Fernandes' prophecy lectures, even though I still hold to the pretrib rapture. He's never nasty or rude to those Christians who hold contrary views. The Matthew 24:29 verse still puzzles me. There is no way that our Lord could possibly rapture the Church as He is descending to the Mount of Olives. How could that be?

Great Sermon! Pretty cool. Makes me think more about the different views on the rapture and it's timing around the Tribulation period. Entertaining to listen to with the Bronx-Brooklyn accent. He doesn't sound like a regular minister to me.

Great Sermon! Your sermon was very helpful. You search the Bible to see if a doctrine is so. And you remain kind and respectful to other views. I never believed in secret return of Jesus before His Second Coming. Many American missionaries do, too bad. Thank you.

Great Sermon! Good biblical exegesis on the post-trib rapture position. I started off as a new Christian thinking that the pre-trib rapture view was the only position Christians were suppose to accept. After reading Millard Erickson and George Ladd, I began to ask myself some hard questions on whether the biblical text actually supported the dispensational pre-trib view. Thanks to Dr. Fernandes and others, I would have to believe, without reservation, that the historic Premillennial (post-trib) view agrees much better with the biblical text.

Great Sermon! I loved this sermon and they way you point to scripture of your Post-Trib thoughts. However I have come to another conclusion and hope you consider it.
I fought with myself for a while now with the notion of Pre-Trib or Post. I have come to the conclusion that it must be Pre-Trib and no other explanation.
I have come across a very good site to explain the same thing I found. I hope this will be good information for anybody searching like I was.
And in defense of Pre-Trib which I honestly believe is the case now.
Enjoy your study and epiphany.
