Jehovah separates the pilgrim, who is righteous in His eyes, from the man of this world and age, who remains wicked. Jehovah leads the righteous to Zion, but leads the wicked away to his own twisted desires. Jehovah does this so that His righteous not be overcome by evil. Pilgrims are to pray that Jehovah grants His Israel peace in this way.
