Today, I’m not so much interested in the items of the Christian’s armour but I’m interested in this general command to us as foot soldiers enlisted in the Lord’s service. This need for spiritual conquest takes my interest. This is strength through our union with Christ. As believers through grace we are united to the Lord. We are engrafted into Him as a branch in the tree. We are to grow in strength through resting, standing and holding onto the Lord Himself. Christ is the key to this strength. Paul refers to His might. He assumes that his readers know of the power and majesty of the Lord. They know of His Divine nature, Godhood, miracles, death and resurrection. His statement of power to the disciples in the great commission. He says to these Christians at Ephesus, Be strong in His might. V10 Borrow it, draw it all from Him. We are to do this is also.
