'As the apostle says to Timothy, so also he says to everyone, 'Give yourself to reading.' He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves that he has no brains of his own. You need to read. Renounce as much as you will all light literature, but study as much as possible sound theological works, especially the Puritanic writers, and expositions of the Bible. The best way for you to spend your leisure is to be either reading or praying.'

Great Sermon! Dr. Bennett, I've been listening to quite a bit of your church history, and I have found it to be very wonderful and I thank you for it. My question for you is is there any correlation between the nuns and the sisters that Rome brought out and the priestesses and the harlots that we see in the new and Old Testament. I find it odd that these Temple Prostitutes that Paul and others warned of in Scripture just disappeared, and the Popes coincidentally decided that Nuns were Biblical. Perhaps you could help me here. If you could point me to any of the histories or books that will help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Feel free to email me. Thank you again.
