“ His Final Sermon on Earth ” My father preached this sermon in Leland, MS on Sunday morning March 9, 1987. He then drove straight through to Pensacola, FL where my husband and I were camping for our spring break. Daddy and my husband fished all day Tuesday after Daddy rested from his long drive. We went to a great seafood restaurant that night and had a great time of fun and fellowship. The next morning when my husband went to call him for breakfast, he discovered that Daddy had gone to join his beloved wife, my mother, during the night.
He was where he wanted to be (camping at the state park, and he had spent his last hours on earth with my husband and me!
Heaven’s gain was our loss that spring break, but we do not mourn as those who have no hope! We will see him and hear him again! Meanwhile, this wonderful website allows me to reconnect with him in a special way.....I am blessed!
