A. Samuel sets his sons up as Judges in Israel 8:1-3
Samuel was a man of unquestioned integrity. However, his sons were not the same. They received bribes and perverted justice. Samuel seemed to have a “blind spot” toward the sins of his children. In Samuel's example we can see that sometimes good men have bad children.

1. It was Samuel's error to put his sons in a position of authority, when they were not worthy of that position and abused their power.
2. “Thou art old” is not a valid grievance.
