During our Wednesday Night Prayer and Bible Study, we begin our first lecture through our next devotion based on Thomas Watson's book, The Art of Divine Contentment. Tonight's lesson covered Chapter 1, Watson's introduction to Philippians 4:11, and Chapter 2, "The First Branch of the Text, the Scholar, with the First Proposition." Our pastor draws on much personal need to learn to be more content and shares many personal anecdotes of lessons being learned while giving some added help in seeing that the classrooms of Paul's learning were his trials and tribulations (and his practicing contentment within them). At the end of the lecture, our pastor shares two songs from one of his daughter's favorite artists: "Thy Will" and "Beautiful Messes" by Hillary Scott and the Scott Family.
God Glorified! God obviously ordained I commence this series. Discovered this ministry via a FB comment. Thank you, Lord for using the pain of this pastor to minister to me and others.
Thank you, Pastor Grant Van Leuven for remaining faithful amidst the pain - God is being glorified. God bless you and your loved ones.
