In this sermon, Paul Washer teaches some of the basic principles of Biblical courtship. Using the Scriptures, he explains how knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will indefinitely effect our relationships with others. If we claim to be children of God, our lives will be very different from the world.

Valuable insights and guidelines Mr. Washer’s ministry is valuable because he points out the devastating faulty points of American Evangelicalism. There are many vital insights presented in his talk. However, I would be cautious of defining the neo-Calvinist movement in the same track as the old ‘biblical/historical awakenings’. The preachers named, with some exceptions, in many cases, do not always sustain through and through conclusive biblical value in all matters. This is verified by their use of modern Bible versions, missing practical standards, worldly methodology, one-sided theology, and sensual music styles, which blatantly deny perceptible godliness and separated distinctiveness.
Great Sermon! Sad but true on todays church and dating. If we are to really advance the kingdom of God we must get back to the principles of God whole heartedly and completely
Great Sermon! Excellent. I appreciate preachers who are not afraid to speak the truth in this relativist society. God is truly glorified with this sermon.
Challenging message Prepare to have your beliefs and assumptions challenged. Thoroughly enjoyed this message. As a divorced Christian woman, I only wish I had heard more messages like this before I married a professed Christian. I recommend all hear this applicable word.
man alone (3/27/2011)
Relevant! Note the number of heavy downloads of this message. It must be admitted that this subject is foremost on the minds of many. "It is not good for man to be alone", yet we are not to compromise in finding someone "suitable" for marriage.
Apparently, there are many that desire to part with worldly methods of dating, yet it is extremely difficult to find *serious minded Christians* to court, beyond the numerous empty professors on so-called "Christian Dating sites" (don't bother trying)! Where can we meet other sincere Christians to court? The best would obviously be a church, but even there is shallow profession and *alot of worldliness*, despite even reformed orthodoxy. It is better to remain alone, then marry the wrong person.
In Luke 14 Jesus makes it plain that not even a wife or husband should get in the way of being a *real disciple* of Christ, and so those with any principles continue alone, because they cannot find anyone "suitable" to walk with. "Can two walk together lest they be agreed?" No, the marriage will not last if one is serious and despises the world, and the other is worldly with a Christian profession.
One should not presume that church members are necessarily suitable, a mistake many have experienced, but no pastors speak about.
Great Sermon! This is what I needed , me & girlfriend will def be tuning in again for this .
