He found the comfort, the peace for which he longed. His life was now complete and he was ready to die! Simeon perceived the big picture of the triumph and tragedy of the Messiah-- that He would be a revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of Israel. But that He would divide the nation and by opposed by many, causing sorrow for Mary . And Anna proclaimed the message of redemption and peace to those who too were looking and longing for that which would complete them. Only Jesus! Only He brings redemption full and free! There's a yearning in all our hearts, that only Jesus can satisfy!
