On 26th May 1940 Britain was in a very dangerous position in World War 2. The British and French armies had been cornered in a small area around the French coastal town of Dunkirk. At a time of danger a National Day of Prayer was called and immediately Hitler halted his armies and over the next number of days allowed the allies to evacuate the troops. To this day nobody can explain why he did not finish the allies off. The answer is that God answered prayer.
