Paul presents Christ to those gathered to worship God in Pisidian Antioch. He identifies the person: Jesus who is a true man, a Savior, fulfils the promises of God, is innocent, is crucified, is raised from the dead, is divine, and is glorified. Paul proclaims two blessings that make the truth concerning Jesus good news: through him forgiveness is proclaimed and in him justification is found. These blessings are obtained through faith in Jesus. Nothing more or less if required to obtain pardon for sins and peace with God than trust in him. In the light of this, Paul urges a warning upon those to whom he preaches: judgment will come upon those who turn from rather than to Christ as he is presented in the Scriptures.
