More Sermon Details:
The foundation of the Gospel is to know the doctrines of grace — to know man's desperate condition and God's sovereign remedy.
Here Bro. Mahan introduces you to yourself and to God's sovereign work in bringing a sinner to acknowledge his deep need of the Saviour. He was preaching in North Carolina at Rosemont Baptist Church in Winston-Salem in 1976.
May the Spirit of God apply this message to YOUR heart at this hearing.
Partial Sermon Unfortunately this is a partial sermon.
At the beginning, Pastor Mahan states very clearly that he will be asking SIX questions. They are as follows: 1) How did man get lost? 2) What does it mean to be lost? 3) Who is lost? 4) How does God save sinners? 5) What does it mean to be saved? 6) Who can be saved?
He gets through the first two questions & answers them. Then he begins on the 3rd question. It stops at the end of a sentence. This sermon should have been another 20 minutes or so.
I would have to say, based on what I did hear, this was a spectacular sermon. I would love to hear it in its entirety, but that isn't possible.
It is still worth the listening though. There is a lot of powerful information here.
