    “ Great Sermon! ”
    I had a man from work approach me because he saw me praying for my meal, and he perceived I was a Christian. He introduced himself to me as a seeker, and said he had questions about Christianity that people could not answer. I set up a date, and took him out for dinner & to discuss those questions. What I discovered was that he had been raised in a Christian home, gone to a Christian school, and had made salvation prayers 2 times in his 30 years of living. He now says he is a doubting Thomas, and is proud of it. He finds the concept of original sin and substitutionary atonement an embarrassment to his intelligence, and considers Christianity the worlds largest cult. Unless Christ reveals himself in the manner that he did to Moses or Saul, he will not surrender his life to Him. Interestingly enough, he is struggling to understand what his purpose is in life. He wants complete autonomy from God, but does not grasp that apart from a belief in God, or some other higher power, his pursuit of purpose is a moot point. In your sermon, you described him to a tee. He is an apostate. He respects me, because I do not get offended, and bitter when he makes statements that attack my faith. I'm truly burdened for the guy, but am not sure where to go next. He has quit his job, but I have his #
