God, instead of judging the entire human race for their sin, chose to send His beloved Son, perfect in all things, to die for sinful man. And The Son willingly obeys His Father and says, "I'll go. I will live the perfect life that they could never live. I will pay the debt that they could never pay back." And He is able to do it because He is absolutely perfect as The God Man. Truly God & Truly Man. He pays the sin debt IN FULL for all who trust in Him. For all who recognize their hopeless and pitiful state before God. And in seeing that they are totally and utterly desperate, they realize that they have no other option but to fall on their knees and humbly ask for mercy and forgiveness. They dare not think that they have any right whatsoever to stand before Him on their own merit. They fully understand that unless God extends grace and mercy, they are without any hope. No more hope than a man who cannot swim has in the middle of the ocean with no life jacket and no one else around. But in John 6:37, The Son says that all who come to Him will never be cast out. What an amazing God we have! That He would offer forgiveness to sinners like us. When we truly see the amazing act of forgiveness that God bestowed upon us, how can we not extend forgiveness to others?
