This sermon covers Isaiah 12 -- the praise song for salvation. The context (11:11-16) shows that God will regather Israel, the Jews, in the future and restore and reunite and regenerate them when they come back into their land (Ezk 37; Rom 11.25-27; Zech 12-13). This is the song of salvation that *they* will sing when the Millennial kingdom begins. Of course, we today as New Testament church saints can also take these words and apply them to ourselves as well. The primary meaning of the text is Israel's song of praise for God's deliverance of them. The legitimate application (parallel) is also for us to praise God with these words for the work of Christ on our behalf! www.CFBCSTL.org
