Ruth

Ruth is a book that occurred near the end of the Judges period when apostasy reached an all-time high in Israel. Despite the apostasy, one family in Bethlehem did recognize God as King and trusted and obeyed His word. This was Boaz who married Ruth the Moabitess to preserve the inheritance of Naomi's husband and sons. It sets the trajectory for the Davidic dynasty that gave rise to Jesus, the King.
