Joshua

Joshua charts the years from the death of Moses till the death of Joshua. It depicts Israel as learning to trust the LORD and obey under Joshua's excellent leadership. The LORD went before them to defeat the enemies in the Promised Land, but they were not able to drive the inhabitants out of the Land. Joshua was concerned that the tribes would depart from the LORD, but as for him and his house they would serve the LORD. He hoped the next generation would completely drive out the enemy.
