In the beloved classic Christmas movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, George Bailey is given the opportunity to see what life would be like if he were never born. Rarely do we even get to hypothetically see what life would be like if we were not born. So, for this season, we decided to ask the question, “What would be the reality if the local church did not exist?” We described the difference in detail in Season 1 between the local church and the universal church. So, what we are looking at this season is, what would be the reality if the local church did not exist? What would be different? What would be the same? What would be the reality. We know it is only hypothetical, yet at the same time, we believe that there is value in considering this reality.
