This first book of the Pentateuch has much to teach us about many things including the creation of the world, the human race, gender, sexuality, marriage, singleness, man’s fall into sin, the corruption of human nature, suffering, selfishness, betrayal, murder. But if Jesus tells us that all Scripture is about him (Luke 24:17), then the Book of Genesis is ultimately a book about Christ and his promise of salvation in the unfolding announcement of his gospel.
