Fear Not

Many times throughout the pages of scripture, a prophet, angels, God himself will show up in times of trouble, in times of uncertainty, when faith is tested, saying “Fear Not” “Do not be afraid.”

Our theme verse for the series is 2 Tim. 1:7, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and sound mind.”

Listen: God knows that we all know fear. And God knows that fear, in direct opposition to faith, is a powerful motivator when it comes to the choices we make. But God also knows that having a spirit of fear doesn’t come from him, and that when we allow fear to root itself in our identity and run unchecked, it does so to our detriment.
