Book of Acts
40 Sermons

This is a verse by verse study of Books of Acts, the second of the two-volume record of Luke, the physician. The first volume is Luke's gospel, as the writer says in Acts 1.1, "The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when He was taken up and after He had given orders to the apostles..." The Book of Acts, then, is the completion of the story of the beginnings of "ekklesia" (the church) from the ascension to the final word in 28.31 about Paul, "preaching the Kingdom and teaching Jesus is Lord and Messiah (even though in bonds), with all openness, unhindered." Frankly, without this record and the ministry it details, there is no church. It is--The Unstoppable Mission of the Church!
