The Christian Heritage Collection is a collection of original art celebrating the history and heritage of the Christian church.
We live in an age when the knowledge and contribution of the men who have trodden the paths of church history before us is largely forgotten. Their lives are often relegated to subject matter for academic discussion, ignored by the layman in the church who sees little connection between his daily reality and the events of the past.
SermonAudio proudly stands alongside the long line of Christian giants who have gone before us. It has been our desire to find creative ways to acknowledge our rich heritage as well as to support the work of present-day missions. It is with these goals in mind that the Christian Heritage Collection was born.
Part I: The Portraits
To begin, we commissioned Mark Mulfinger, an artist whose linocut and batik artwork is widely respected and featured in galleries throughout the Southern United States, to produce limited-edition portraits of great men from church history. Men like Bunyan, Knox, and Luther.
Watch the brief video below to learn about the process of creating the portraits.

Mark has painstakingly produced six different portraits of some of the greatest men in church history which you can view and choose from below:
Part II: The Frames
Next, we wanted even the frames of these portraits to be special. For this, we traveled to rural Mexico to partner with Marcus Reyes, a ‚Äútent-making‚ÄĚ missionary in the mountainous regions, whose burden it is to reach the unreached -- the descendants of the Aztecs (Nauhua). We commissioned him to create the beautiful custom frames for each work of art.
The wood used for these frames is called Black Walnut and is a rare and expensive tree that grows in the surrounding forests. They are chopped down by hand and carried by donkey from the mountains by Nauhua believers who were won to Christ through Marcus's ministry.
Watch the brief video below to learn about the work involved with each frame.

500 Years of the Reformation
As a tribute to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Dr. Steven Lawson delivered the final conference address on The Preachers of the Reformation at our Foundations Conference in NYC. At the end of the message, he was presented with a special surprise gift in appreciation for his ministry.
"500 Years of the Reformation" features the four great Reformers that he just finished preaching upon (Tyndale, Luther, Calvin, Knox) set against the backdrop of a cityscape depicting architecture spanning from the 16th century to the 21st century. The frame itself is handcrafted by missionary Marcus Reyes in Orizaba, Mexico using Black Walnut from the surrounding mountainous regions. The rough lumber is harvested by the indigenous descendants of the Aztec among whom he ministers the Gospel.
We believe that supporting SermonAudio and the mission work of Grace for Missions in this manner is not only creative and effective,
but it also provides tangible benefit for you in return! We hope you will support us in this project.
