Alex trusted Christ as his Savior as a young boy. He and his wife, Stephanie, were married in 1997 and have two daughters.
Alex obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston in 1993, a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 1996, and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019.

Alex practiced law for twenty-four years and entered pastoral ministry in 2018, serving initially as Associate Pastor of Pine Valley Bible Church in Houston, Texas, and currently as Pastor of Fredericksburg Bible Church in Fredericksburg, Texas.
