Every story in Scripture has a moral or a lesson to teach the truth. Scripture teaches the truth as it is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the truth. And here in our text I said verse fourteen in the Bible study I was thinking about this one. The last verse in the Bible study we're going to look at things first twenty three but this one verse fourteen. Our Lord said. At the end of this parable many are called. But few are chosen. That is the moral of the story, the parable he's about to tell. That's why he told it. That's what this parable is illustrating. Many are called, but few are chosen. And that is a clear declaration of God's sovereign will and purpose and call. and electing grace and man's responsibility. Clear. Many are called, actually all hear this gospel, all hear the word. Paul wrote and said, have they not all heard? Yea, barely. The sound went throughout the world. are chosen to hear really here, and many all have ears to hear, but they don't hear, but. Some. Are given ear of faith. Given life to hear. Few are chosen by God's sovereign grace to hear, believe, repent. And come to Christ. To be married to him. Now this is about a marriage. Look at verses one and two. Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king which made a marriage for his son." The kingdom of heaven. This is spoken many times in Scripture. The kingdom, meaning the dominion of the king. He says a certain king. The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king. Now, our God is certainly king. His son is certainly, that is, there's no doubt about it, king in every sense of the word. Sovereign, reigning, ruling. There have been many usurpers, many fakes, many forgeries, measly, miserable men, and so-called monarchs. But Scripture says, Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the one God. And this certain king, our God, has made his son king and set him on the holy hill of Zion. Now, as with ancient kings of old, most people don't know anything about this today, but this is the way it was. With ancient kings of old, a truly powerful king is able to kill or make alive, to raise up or cast down, to make poor or make rich. They were sovereign. Such is our king. He's called. I'll tell you how sovereign he is. We read it with me and wrote Revelation 19. I'll tell you how sovereign he is. He's king of kings. And the scripture says the king's heart is in his hand. That is, the one who rules over nations now is in his hand, his heart, mind you, not just the affairs and so forth and the temporal things, his heart. Now that sovereignty and like the rivers of water he our king king of king turns hearts with us however he will. That's that's a game that's a true king of king well this certain king who is certainly our king king of king lord of lord made a marriage for his son. This king had a son, it says his son. It doesn't say one of his sons, it says his son, meaning to tell us that he had one son. This king had one son who was well beloved to him. And for the glory and honor and happiness of his son, this king planned and decreed the marriage of his son. A marriage. Our God said it's not good for man to be alone, so God made him a wife and brought her to him. Well, this king said, I don't want my son to live alone, I want him to have a wife, a bride. Made a marriage. And God Almighty, Scripture says, has one son. God said it from heaven, thou art my well-beloved, only begotten, well-beloved son. One son. And he's well beloved, he's the apple of God's eye, as well he should be, for he's altogether lovely. He's the fairest of ten thousand, Scripture says, the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star, heir to the throne, the fair prince of heaven, God's son, the Lord Jesus Christ. And God made everything for him. And God in the beginning, before ever there was a world, God Almighty said, I want him, for lack of a better word, I want, I will, I purpose, my desire is for my son to have a people to behold his glory. To be with him, our Lord said in his prayer in John 17, that they might behold my glory. And they will be glorified, you see, in him, through him, by him, to him, for him. For the honor of his son, God Almighty, and for the glory and happiness of his son planned a marriage. Purpose a marriage, it's called the marriage supper of the Lamb, God's Lamb. Now remember, our Lord is the one telling this. OK? And everything our Lord told, all the parables, the stories which he told were stories or illustrations of true things, heavenly things, earthly stories of heavenly things. OK, this is no fairy tale here. This is not Graham's fairy tale. This is God's true work. Son of God himself is the work. The truth. Cannot lie. We read over there in Revelation 19, where the angel said these things are true. Remember that? This is the marriage of the Lamb. You come, you're now a part of the marriage of the Lamb, the angel said to John. This is true, he said. No fairy tale. And now you see. Now you know what he was talking about. The one on the horse, on the white horse. The one who first told this. This is true. There's no fairy tale. Well, in olden days, years ago, Kings chose their son's bride. It sure ain't like that now, except for a few rare occasions, you know, now. But anyway, years ago, Kings actually betrothed young ladies to their son, and he to them. He chose their son, his son's bride for him. Does he have anything to say about it? No, not really. Depending on the king's son, though, you know, she would be real glad about it, depending on the king. What woman wouldn't want to be married to David or Solomon or whoever, huh? And anyway, kings of old betrothed a bride to his son, and this is exactly what God Almighty did. He chose, he elected a people before the foundation of the world and decreed them to be Christ's wife, Christ's bride, the church of God, his people, his children. And the consummation of this, the end of this, the final, it's all said and done, it's called the marriage supper of the Lamb. We read it there in Revelation 19. This was purposed by God. Every bit of it was purposed by God. Who would be there? On earth and on Calvary's tree purchased their redemption. You see, they were a forlorn woman, like old Hosea's gomer. A forlorn woman who was sold out and had to be bought with price. And the price was not silver or gold, but the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The wages of her sin were death. She's earned it, and she has to pay if she has nothing to pay. She's in debt, but her captain's going to pay it. And he did. He paid it all. And she must go free, she must. Prepare to purchase by Christ and it will be consummated in heaven. They're all rounded up by the Holy Spirit of God. And in heaven this consummation or marriage suffers when they're all joined with the Christ whom they fall in love with on earth. And this preaching of the gospel, what I'm doing right now, is the wedding proclamation. Mind you, it's a declaration, mind you. It's not an invitation. You know, we send out these invitations to people at weddings, don't we? And there's reasons behind that. Most of the time, we just want people to come and share in the, you know, the good day we're having. Some people, though, send out whole bunches of them. Why? And that's a good type of false religion. They all talk about an invitation. Why? They want you to come. Why? Not to Christ, to fall in love with him. Well, in our story here, the king bids people. Now, the word bid is not invite. That word is not in the Bible in reference to God's salvation. No, sir. I implore you to look it up. You look up the word bid here in our story. It is not invite kings now. Now, we're talking about King. This is why people don't have a clue about God. They don't know God. They don't know Christ. Christ said, if you'd known if you'd known the father, you'd know me. But you don't. He said, you don't even you need to know my father and you don't know me. Don't know God. Don't know the truth. Kings back then didn't invite anybody to do anything. The closest we can come to understanding sovereignty is a man like old Saddam Hussein. Did he ever invite anybody to come to his palace? Did he ever say he would go down and tell so-and-so, I sure like to have him come see me, and would he please come see me? I have a wonderful dinner planned for him, and if you'll just allow me to... Are you kidding? Are you kidding? Go tell so-and-so to come. The word bid here means command. Look it up, go get your concordance and look at it. He sent forth his servants, in verse three it says, and his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding and they would not come. Now remember this was a king, we're talking about the king of kings. certain thing, and they don't issue invitations, they issue proclamations. Back then, it was called an edict, the king's edict. That's the title of this message, the king's edict. That's not in the book, but I've changed it. The king's edict means come. Scripture says, God commended all men everywhere to repent. Doesn't ask, he commended. Kiss the son, Psalm 2 says, kiss the son. That's not an invite, that's a command. Repent. Believe. Come. Come. I never ask my dog to come. Never. I say come. God doesn't ask anybody anything. He said if I were hungry, I wouldn't ask you. I needed anything, I wouldn't ask you. And if I'm determined to have you, I'm not going to ask you. Because they would not come, it says. Our Lord said in John 5, verse 40. Our Lord said this. Our Lord summed up man's inability and man's depravity by saying this. Man's depravity is this. John 5, verse 40. Our Lord said, You will not come unto me that you might have life. He said, I am come that they might have life. But you will, he looked at some of these people and said, you will not come unto me that you might have life. You will not. That's man's depravity. When man hears of the true God, man hears what he is and who Christ is, he will not have this man reign over him. He will not have this God to be his God. He doesn't like it. The carnal mind of the natural man is enmity, and he hates God. We say that all the time, though, and people don't believe that. They think that's too, you know, mean and all that. That's what the Bible says. I know, you know, that's what you were. And that's the truth. You will not come unto me. You will not. Man will not come. And then here's the inability of man. Man's dead. Man is dead in trespass and sin. He will not. He does not want to and will not come, believe, bow, repent. Hope to serve God's glory. Loves himself. Loves sin. Will not. Then our Lord said in John 6, 44, And no man can come unto me, except the Father which hath sent me. Draw him. Fetch him. That's what draw means. Fetch him. Gathering here in our story, you're going to hear about some people that were gathered from the highways and the hedges. Everybody was bidding. They all heard it. They all heard the command. There's a marriage. Come! It's not a fable. Didn't make this up. This is truth. Sounds like a fairy tale to me. Oh, it is a wonderful thing. It's better. The truth is better than any tale. Where do they get those tales, Sherry? Where do you think they get all these fairy tales? It's pretty amazing, really, how ignorant a man he is, and where he comes up with all these fairy tales that we believe, and well, that we love over the years, like Cinderella. You know, these self-righteous sisters of hers, you know. No, they're not going to marry this prince. They don't deserve him. They think they do, but they're not going to. When they come up with his hand. The law is written on the heart. Mr. Graham didn't write that that was there. But this poor woman who thought she didn't belong and this handsome prince had nothing to do with her. That's what he's going to marry. And she's going to be she's going to be lifted from the ashes. He said, where did they come up with that? Barbara? Huh? Oh, hath not God made foolish the wisdom of man? You know, men, people love those stories, don't they? They love those stories. This is no story. This is no fable. This is true. God made Mary for his son. Come! Now, who's going to come? He didn't come to call the righteous. But he ought to have me. I'm a good catch. Come call the right. He sent forth his servant to call them that were bidding to the wedding and they would not come. They would not come. As we said, our Lord doesn't invite anybody. Kings don't invite people. When he told Noah, he said, Noah, will you please build me an ark? I can't do it without you. Noah built an ark. And when God went into the ark, yeah, God was in the ark. Yeah, because God said, Come thou. He didn't say, Go into the ark. He said, Come. But he said to Noah, that was a command. Did Noah go? Absolutely. And he's out. Abraham, when he called Abraham out, did he invite him or did he just sovereignly call him? go to a land that I sent. Moses, take a lamb, kill it. Matthew, follow me. Zacchaeus, come down. That's my God. That's what he did to me. Wasn't he? That's my God. He is God. What he says his people do. When his guests come, they come. all have heard this declaration. They have. Psalm 19 talks about two books which all have heard. Two declarations of the king. And Romans 1 sums that up to Have that not all her Romans and Psalm 19 talks about the book of creation. The sun, the moon, the invisible things created, things created out of nothing, clearly revealed his eternal power and Godhead. They're without excuse. God is. Everything says God is. God in whose hands our breath is. All of this that lives and moves. comes from God in whom we our breath is and all our way. He is God. Everything says now believe. Thank him. And then the scripture of Psalm 19 talks about a written book, the law of God, the word of God, the written word of God. And then the scriptures in the New Testament talks about the incarnate, or the word made flesh and dwelled amongst us, and we beheld his glory, the word of God. And many saw him, many speak his name now, but they really haven't come to him, seen him as he is. But all are bidden, commanded to repent, worship, believe, bow to the Son. All right, verse 4. So these would not come, and again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden. Behold, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen, and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come unto the marriage. You go tell them what I have done, about what is mine, and what I have prepared, and what I have done. You tell them, Come! All things are ready. Tell them not to bring anything, just tell them to come. And what a picture this is of how our Lord has sent prophets down through time, hasn't he? What's their message? Of the king. The king. The message of the king and his son. That's what David wrote and quoted so many times, Psalm 2. God, the Lord has said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand. The Lord has set my king. God has set his king on his holy hill of Zion. And kiss the son, bow to him, come. And God has sent men down through the years, and this has been their declaration of who God is king and who Christ is, the king's son, king of kings, whom he has put all judgment, all things into the hands of. And how that Christ is the king's lamb, the king's sacrifice, the sin sacrifice. And it's God who prepared this, prepared it for himself. My son, Abraham told his son, my son God had made himself a lamb, had prepared himself a lamb as a burnt offering. Christ is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, for the people of God. And this message is that Christ is the way, the truth, the life, the righteousness, the sacrifice, the sinner's substitute, the way to God, the only way to God. And the message has come. Believe. Look to Him. Be saved. All the ends of the earth. Because there's no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Let the name of the Lord Jesus cry every knee and bow, and every tongue confess that he is Lord. Come! It's all ready. Don't bring anything. Take off all your old rags. You're going to be clothed when you get here. Don't bring any little pie. The king doesn't need your little pie. Don't prepare anything you think he needs or want. Don't bring anything you've done. In my hands, no price I bring. That's all prepared. What? You know, remember the Queen of Sheba that came to see Solomon? Remember that? She brought a bunch of stuff with her and she saw Solomon's table. She felt embarrassed. She didn't bring it. I brought you something here. It doesn't look like much now, but I've seen what you've prepared for me." And so it is, all who see Christ as all and in all, they see that they are nothing at all and have nothing, and He's all that God requires. So the king said, come, but they made light of it. Verse 5, they made light of it. John Wesley. John Wesley of whom this whole world esteem so highly. John Wesley there's a whole denomination named after him Wesley. John Wesley said this about Christ's righteousness imputed to his people he said this verbatim. You've read this, haven't you, Jeanette, Ed, Odie? He said, it's imputed nonsense. That's what he said. You want it? I'll look it up and I'll give it to you. Those who hear this by sermon audio, write to me. I'll mail it to you. He's a heretic to the worst degree. He's one of these as close, if it were possible, to see the very letter. You call what Christ did nonsense, you're anti-Christ. You call the only wedding garment that will allow us into heaven nonsense, you're without one, and you're going to be cast out. Oh, they're going to be weeping, and you're going to confess to them, oh, we did many wonderful things in your name. I say you're a worker of iniquity. Is that too hard? No, no, not too hard. Tell it like it is. Tell it like it is. They made light of it. They made light of it. I don't need that. That's too strict. This king is not that sovereign. People don't need to hear that. That's family doctrine. People don't need to hear it about election. That's family. That's too narrow. It is narrow. The way is narrow. You're too straight. Oh, it's straight, too. Well, that's hate doctrine. It's just doctrine. It's just. It's not just doctrine it's the doctrine of the true Christ who is we saw did you read that with me in Revelation nineteen sword in his garments are bathed in blood now that's the Christ of Scripture John she's living that people don't have a clue about that's not their Jesus. Gentle, meek, and mild, is it? That is the scripture. And that is the one before whom all flesh will stand someday. The one they don't know, but the one that knows them, buddy. Knows their hearts and everything about them. They're down-sitting. They're upright. Not a word in their mouth. He doesn't know it all together. King of kings and Lord of lords before whom they'll all stand someday. And they'll say, we never knew you. And he'll say, I never knew you either. Get them out of my sight. They stink. They stink of their own righteousness. They stink of their own glory. They stink of their own name. It stinks to me. Stakes to high heaven. One thing God says smells good to me, the perfect, beautiful, holy, righteous, altogether lovely, sweet-smelling savor which is my sign. I won't come in here but by Him. No man cometh unto the Father but by me, Christ said. You want to go in? All right, he says, they made light of it and went their ways. There is a way that seems right unto man, and there have been many ways down through. It's all the same way, really, the broad way, but they went their ways, didn't they? There are many denominations. We see it this way. I don't see it that way, your way. You say your way is right and our way is wrong. I don't see it that way. This is the way I think. There's one way. Yes, our way is the only way. Yes, it is. You think your way is the only way? Yes, I do. Absolutely. Absolutely. You think you're right and everybody else is wrong? Yes, I do. This is my gospel. Anybody preach any other gospel than this gospel, let it be a curse. I don't care if it's an angel from heaven. I don't care if it's an angel called Billy Graham. They're John Wesley. I don't care. This might get me thrown off the sermon audio. I don't know. Who cares? This is the way. They went to their ways, you know. Well, we sit this way. We sit that way. It's all the same way. It's a broad way that leads to destruction. There's a way that seems right under me, but it's all wrong. Whatever way a man sees it is wrong. Because why? He sees it because he's blind. The blind man says, this is the way I see it. That's what a blind man says. This is the way I see it. Boom! Or fall over a cliff. You don't see nothing until God gives you eyes to see. And when, like every blind man in the scripture, every blind man in scripture that had their eyes open, the first thing they saw was what? Not a what! Every person that had their eyes opened by Christ, the first thing they saw was Him. And that's the way it is. The way it is. With all of God's people, when they have their blind eye, the scales peeled back from their eyes, the first thing they see is the only thing they need to see. That Christ is on. ever look into the sun, what do you see after that? Spots. What that is, is a reflection of the sun that's still in your vision. That spot. Everything is that spot in it. And if you see Christ high and lifted up, as He is, all of it, you'll see everything. It's all in all. You see Him in everything and everything in Him, and all things for Him, by Him, to Him, through Him, because of Him. And that's the way it is. You see, the King made this marriage for His Son. God hath made all things for Himself and for His Son. That's what it's all about. God made this whole ball of dirt not for man's enjoyment, but for His Son, for His glory. All things were created by Him and for Him. And they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise. What will a man give in exchange for his soul? A farm. A mess, a pottage. What will a man give? Our Lord is the one that said that. What will a man give in exchange for his soul? As one soul, God said, is mine, my soul. And that man doesn't even know he has one, doesn't care, doesn't, you know, and he gives his whole life for things like this. If he could just get a ticket to see Dale Jr. just once in his life, his life is complete. See, men have their gods. They have their gods, their idols that they worship, that they love, that their whole life is given to, and they paste their names all over their, you know, their little idols all over everything they have. They love these people. Or it is a thing, you know, fishing or hunting or, you name it, just name something. That's what men will give in exchange for their souls. But not if they see the sun. Well, then, Nancy, by the grace of God, if they ever see the Son, by the grace of God, if they ever see the altogether lovely Son, Deborah, everything and everyone else will pale. That's what you who are truly married, who fell in love with that man or that woman you're married to, everybody else kind of pales. And that's what you say at the marriage. You say, I want her and nobody else. I want him and nobody else. He, she, I'm in love with me. She, he, she has captured my attention. He or she, they're my life now. That's what this is all about. Christ is not a part of the life of God's people. He is our life. He is our life. Well, one went to the farm, another went to his merchandise, his stuff. He went home to his stuff. This great marriage, Brother Kelly, this great marriage. wonderful, wonderful marriage, he went home to his stuff. That's foolish. You see, if you marry the king, it does not yet appear what God has prepared for us. It's not stuff. It's not temporal stuff. It's eternal glory, riches beyond the wildest imagination. The remnant took his servants. They took these fellows that came with this message and treated them spikily and slew them. And when the king heard it, oh, he was, oh, the king wished they hadn't done that. Oh, the king wanted so bad for them to come, and they wouldn't come. And so he went and pleaded with them again. Now, won't you, is that what you read here? Is that what you read here? He was wroth. I love the words in the King James Bible, don't you? They tell it like it is. Wrath. He that believeth not, the wrath of God abideth on him. John 6, 36. The wrath of God abideth on him. Not the love of God. Not the peace. The wrath. Wrath. And what happened? He sent forth his armies. and destroy those murderers and burned up their city. Slew everything in his sight. Everything and everyone, didn't he? Does that sound familiar? We read that in Revelation 19. Then he said to his servants, now this is a picture of how God sent the prophets and they killed them all. Sent the apostles and killed them. Sent forth his servants and said, The wedding is ready. They which were bidden were not worthy. None of them were worthy. They were told to come, but they weren't worthy. I didn't ask them to come. I didn't need them to come. The truth of the fact being known, I didn't want them to come. I knew what was in them. I'll tell you. Who do you, speaking as a man, Who would you want to have something that you prepared for? Say you prepared a big meal, who would you want to have it? If you prepared a big meal, who would you want to have it? Somebody rich and increased with good and had need of nothing? Or somebody poor, needy, hungry? Who would you want to prepare a big meal for? Somebody hungry or somebody that's just full? You're going to give something away. Who would you give it to? Somebody that... A man that had everything? What do you give a man that has everything? Nothing. What do you give a man that has nothing? Everything. You appreciate him? You understand that? What do you give a man who has nothing, Stan? Give him anything you appreciate him. Isn't that? Crumbs. Lord, I'll just take your crumbs. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. You know, the Lord never gives crumbs to anybody. Anybody that's hungry, the Lord doesn't give them. Here's a little leftover. Here's a little crumb. No, sir, sit down at the table, my fibby chef. Woman, I don't serve crumbs with whole meals. Those who weren't worthy. Go ye therefore in the highways and as many as you shall find. Now what is salvation? It means you're lost and somebody found you. What could be clearer? Hath not God made foolish the religious wisdom of this world, Brother Ron Hunt? Now, if a man's lost, he can't find a way, can he? Even little children know that. If a man's dead, he's dead, isn't he? Huh? If a man's blind, he can't see. If a man's deaf, he can't hear. Huh? Huh? Huh? What can be clearer? Child, you know, God has hid these things from the wise and prudent. Revealed unto me, little children know that. Go out and you find them. Where do you find them? Luke's gospel said, went in the highways and the hedges, beat the bushes, looking for a what? Well, who's going to be in the bushes? He didn't go to the palaces and the country clubs. He went to beat the bushes, looking for a lowlife. the center of the bar. You say that he said I'm looking for senators. I can't find any. I can't seem to find any. But bless God, he does. He finds some. It says here good and bad, doesn't it? Both bad and good. Start bad and good. The way he went furnished, they found them. These servants found them. Highways and the hedges, bad and good. What does that mean? That means, you know, there were some in here who were gutter dwellers. I mean, literally dwelling in open, wicked lifestyle. Bottom dwellers, sewer dwellers. Right? But there are others that were sitting in a pew. They were sitting in a pew. They both lost. They were both sinners. And they both got to be found. One's lost in the open sin and one's lost in religion. One's dead in trespassing and the other one's dead in his own dead works in righteousness. They both got to be found. Which is worse? Our Lord said these will go in. That's what he said. They're going to enter into heaven before you. Well, but they both lost, and God saved some of both. Many are called, few are chosen. Now, do these bush dwellers, these bottom dwellers, these scumbags, do they deserve to come to this marriage, huh? They know it. The king knows it. Why did he bring them? For his glory and honor. For his son's glory and honor. Behold, his son. And that's what those sitting in the pew, these good people, they've got to come to that realization, it's none good, not one. Right, Jeanette? Well, bid them. And as many as you find bid to the marriage. So they went out in the highways and gathered together, all those men, and gathered them from the north, east, south, and west. My people, bad and good, and the wedding was furnished. Who furnished it? Why'd they come? They were called. For whom he did foreknow, he did predestinate. Whom he did predestinate, he called, and they came, and they believed, and they were therefore justified by faith. Well, Lee Reagan, you've got to tell the end of it here, don't you? And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding Now doesn't say anything about these garments that people wore wouldn't set revelation nineteen doesn't. Says they all were dressed in white. Where did where's everybody in heaven get their garment? I mean. Where'd they get it? The king gave it to him. King put it on him. Where'd this prodigal son get that robe that he, the best robe, huh? Where'd he get that? The Father put it on him. He didn't make it. He didn't bring it. He didn't put it on himself. It was put on him. So it is with everybody in glory. The fine men and white and clean is the righteousness of saints. Their righteousness? Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Not by works of righteousness, which we have done. They all say, no, no, no, not on us, not on us, but Him. He is our righteousness. He is our covering. He is our holiness. He is our sanctification. He is our wisdom. We want to be found in Him, not having our own righteousness, which is upper law, but that righteousness which is by faith of God, which is in Christ. Hide us from the face of Him. Cover us. We'll be found in Him. That's what—well, this man wasn't. He had on a garment, though. He brought something, and he was wearing it. And he kind of liked it. I bet he made it. What do you think? I bet he made it. Probably had a hat on, too. Salvation, though, what you know is what you're wearing. You take your hat off when you come in the house. Anyway, the king saw him and said, Why do you have, why don't you, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? Verse 12. And he was speechless. Everyone someday will be speechless. They're not now, are they? Oh, they're big talkers. Everybody talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. Talk, talk, talk, talk. Especially preachers, they're the worst. This is my vocation up here. You know, I have so little time to tell the mystery, the infinite wisdom of God. And I'm sorry sometimes I tell all I know. Try to. Went to Kingsport, and I preached every message I've ever preached in one time. Shouldn't have done it, but I did it. Words, huh? But standing before God someday. Speechless. What do you say? I've got nothing to say. God, no, let these words be for you. What matters is what you're wearing, rather who you're in. Rather who you're in. Not what you know, what you can say, but who you're in, who you're found in. Who you're found in. Old Brother Nybert, he's not old. Brother Nybert made this astute observation, listen carefully. The word imputed is never an adjective in Scripture. It does not say imputed righteousness, never. Now I'm prone to have said right. It's a person imputed. It's what he does to you or you. That's an astute observation that doctors and so forth don't know. Never an accident. Never. Never. Well, it's what you're wearing, who you're wearing, who you found in, who you found in. And he was speechless. The king said to his servants, bind him hand and foot. Wait a minute. Just because he doesn't have on the right clothes? Boy, that's strict, isn't it? Bind him hand and foot, cast him into outer darkness, weeping and gnashing. But all it was was, I just had the wrong clothes on. How could you do this to me? It was a good little robe I was wearing. It was good. I meant well. No, you didn't. That's what God's going to say to every one of these people. No, you didn't. You didn't mean well. I know what's in you. God looks on the heart. That's right. All he means, well, he's so sincere, he's sincerely in it for his own glory, is what he's sincerely about. Her religion, no grandma so-and-so. She sincerely believes that she's a good woman. Yeah. And she sincerely hates the God of Scripture and the salvation of my grace. She sincerely does. Ask her. You'll find out. She sincerely loves herself and thinks she's without sin. She's a holiness woman. I saw a card the other day that says, the higher the hair, the closer to God. I thought that was pretty good. That pretty much sums up this holiness religion. I'm going to put this on the radio at 8 o'clock. Higher the hair, the closer to God. Or the lower the beard. You think God is looking at your hair. How foolish can you get? You think God's looking at how long your beard is? How foolish can you get? No babies wear beards. They can't grow them. They can't grow them. What's he looking at? It's not a what. It's a who. It's who you're with. In fact, he doesn't even see you, if you're in him. He doesn't even see you. For many are called, but few are chosen. That's the theme of this story. The moral of this story. Many are called. Not invited. Commanded. Demanded. But they will not come. No man can come. But the chosen ones, they all come. They all come. All that the Father giveth me shall come unto me. And if they cometh, I will know I was cast out. Because every one of them are wearing the garments. Every one of them are found in Him. Every one of them. Clothes with Christ. All right, let's sing in closing a good, good hymn to go with that number 242. And the only thing that bothers me about this hymn is a cheap thing. Keep saying, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come. We don't come to Jesus. When a person comes by faith, And a person comes in repentance and faith and bow, they don't bow to Jesus. They, at the name of Jesus, they call him Lord. Note that. We come to Lord. He's called the Lord Jesus Christ. We come to see him first as Lord, then Savior. So we're going to sing this and try to catch yourself. Every time we're going to say, Lord Jesus, I come. All right. Lord Jesus. Alright, 242, let's stand. Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night Lord Jesus, I come, Lord Jesus, I come Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light Lord Jesus, I come to Thee Out of my sickness into thy health Out of my want and into thy will Out of my sin and into thyself Lord Jesus I come to thee
