Having given his disciples a pattern for prayer, our Lord teaches them about persistence in prayer. There is a story Jesus told about a man who showed a shamelessness in asking until he got what he needed. There is a principle Jesus applied: keep asking and you shall receive, keep seeking and you shall find, keep knocking and door shall be opened. There is an example Jesus gave, about a son coming with affectionate trust to his father for the things he needs. Finally, there is a lesson Jesus taught, about asking God our heavenly Father for his Holy Spirit.
Please note, first, that the video version of this sermon contains an extended pastoral prayer, given that we had appointed the day as a day of particular prayer under our present need (the sermon itself begins at 20m 20s). Second, the sermon ends somewhat raggedly due to the unexpected arrival of a hearer.
