What makes us sinners? What makes it possible for us to sin? Is it possible for sinners, for those who have an unrighteous nature, to do things that are right and good?
We have a sin nature, an unrighteous nature, because we are Adam. We sin because we are the same as Adam. He was a sinner, and we are sinners. We sin because we are sinners. We are not sinners because we sin.
What you do is not what prevents you from going to heaven. And what you do is not what qualifies you to go to heaven. To go to heaven requires changing what you are, and the only way you change what you are requires a miracle. For that miracle, we must rely on the mercy and grace of God.
