So happy Sunday, everybody. Welcome to the first Sunday of December. It's hard to believe we're here already. If you have a birthday this month, will you please raise your hand? All right, we've got a couple. All right, well, please join in and help us sing happy birthday to these folks. ♪ Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, God bless you. Happy birthday to you. Amen. Our scripture reading this morning is going to be John 1, verses 6 through 12. Will you please read along? There was a man sent from God whose name was John. The same came for a witness to bear witness of the light that all men through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light. That was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. Even to them believe on his name. Amen. Our first hymn this morning is gonna be Angels from the Realms of Glory, and that is hymn number 94 in your book if you're following along. ♪ Angels from the realms of glory ♪ Light your flight o'er all the earth ♪ We who sang creation's story ♪ Now proclaim Messiah's birth ♪ Come and worship, come and worship ♪ Worship Christ the newborn King Shepherds in the field abiding, watching o'er your flocks by night.
