Build Your Life and Your Eternity on What will Last: Jan 21-25 TVD
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Matthew 24:35
What are you staking your life on? Even of far more importance, to what have you entrusted your eternal soul?
Popular opinion. Today’s headline talking points. The latest outrage on social media. Gut feeling. Intuition. Advice of friends, family, and peers. Counsel of the “expert.” What are you banking on? What are you trusting in? What have you trusted to be the foundation for your life? To be the surety for your soul?
Jesus says the two things you would think will last forever are actually going to pass away! Heaven and earth. The most unchanging and long-lasting, track record for consistency-holding things in your life are the ground beneath your feet and the sky above your head. They will both, on the last day, be folded up like a garment! There will be a new heaven and a new earth, but the ones we know today as being there since the beginning of time, will be gone!
One thing, however, outlasts everything! The words of God! If you’re looking for something to plant your life on and rest your soul in, look no further than the Word of God. It is eternal. It is forever. Its truth will never be altered. Its promises will never expire. Its salvation is guaranteed!
Open your Bible. Read. Believe. Build your life and soul on it. It’s not going anywhere!!
