Ready Ability (equals availability, which is the ability to ready and make useful what you know and have.)
The ready ability of those around the throne of God in Revelation 4 and 5
Four living creatures:
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Revelation 4:8)
“You are WORTHY, O Lord, to receive glory, and honor, and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”
Twenty-four elders and four living creatures they sang a new song:
“You are WORTHY to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God be Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us king’s and priest to our God; and we shall reign of the earth.” (Revelation 5:9-10)
Angels, living creatures and the elders saying:
“WORTHY is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessings!” (Revelation 5:12)
Every Creature... (Romans 8:22; Psalm 96)
“Blessings and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!” (Revelation 5:14)
Living creatures and elders:
“Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worship Him who lives forever and ever.” (Revelation 5:14)
We can’t miss the point... what is happening before the throne of God?
The Father and the Lamb are the attention getters... all focus and focused praise is rightly and passionately directed to them. Their praise fills the throne room of heaven.
It’s a challenge, no doubt, but we must not get sucked in and consumed with trying to figure out who the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders are. The message around the throne is clear... the Father and His Son are the attention getters and they are WORTHY of all our worship and adoration.
This revelation and testimony ought to increase our level of READY ABILITY:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to your core, and marrow to your bones. Honor the LORD with your substance/possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase: So shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your presses shall burst out with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:5-10)
