This simple instruction becomes more and more important daily in our culture. Anger and violence, hatred and wrath, strife and conflict have become our normal mode of interaction... we buy it in our movies, games, television and music; we hear the reports from the media, but the truth is that they seem to stir it up far more than simply reporting it... anger sells, strife is expected by the consumer and the media delivers in spades! But it has also crept into the church, strife and anger effect us all, and while we can look at others and decide that "I don't want to be friends with that angry person", it is far more important that we look at our own lives, words, actions and thoughts to see if we are the kind of person that other Christians should want to be friends WITH... that question, beloved, is worth many sleepless nights. But here is the good news; God can forgive and heal us even of deep seated anger! Run to the Prince of Peace and ask Him to set your heart on the path of being a peacemaker, you will be blessed, and more, for you will be called sons of God!!
