Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4
For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 2Co 4:15

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;” (Hebrews 6:19)

Now as an anchor is used for the securing of a ship, particularly in times of storm, to prevent it from drifting. It is an invisible thing, sinking down beneath the waters and gripping firmly the ground beneath. The winds may roar and the waves lash the ship, but it rides them steadily, being held fast by something outside itself. Surely the figure is plain. The “anchor” is Christ Himself, sustaining His people down here in this world, in the midst of the wicked, who are likened unto “the troubled sea, when it cannot rest” (Isaiah 57:20). Did he not declare, “Neither shall any pluck them out of My hand?” (John 10:28) Certainly there is nothing in us “both sure and steadfast,” it is the love (John 13:1), power (Matt. 28:18, 20), and faithfulness (Heb. 7:25) of Christ which is in view. Arthur W. Pink

“Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24
We all desire to be loved. But understand, there is no such thing as being loved unconditionally. God does not love unconditionally. He loves us in Christ. United to Christ, we draw out His love. And no human being will love us in a relationally way unconditionally. The writer to the Hebrews calls on us to provoke one another, not to wrath, but to love. Treat one another in such a way that it stimulates love. In loving somebody, we seek their good and we seek to please them. That is “Provoking one another to love and good works.”
As long as we are in the flesh, we will have misunderstandings among us, unpleasantness, and even injustices (we will feel that our rights have been violated and others have been wrong in what they have said and done). What is to be our attitude? It is to be twofold: FOREBEARING one another and FORGIVING one another. To FORBEAR is to control our emotions, surrendering our rights for the time being in patient hope that God will reveal His purpose and will. To FORGIVE is actually to put the misunderstanding out of mind and restore a state of love and fellowship. Our Lord FORBEARS, that is, He is longsuffering and patient with us, and He FORGIVES, remembering our sins no more.
Pastor Henry T. Mahan

Charity Shall Cover the Multitude of Sins”
“Above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins” (I Peter 4:8). And we do all have a multitude of sins. James said, “In many things we offend all” (James 3:2). If I love you, I realize you are like me, a person with a multitude of sins. I do not excuse my sin, or yours. But if I love you I will cover your sins, just like I do not want mine to be exposed. “Love covereth all sins” (Proverbs 10:12), and “He that covereth a transgression seeketh love” (Proverbs 17:9). I am so thankful for His love that has covered my sins with the precious blood of His Son. Oh, that I might be the one who covers, who remains silent, who does not seek to expose my brother’s sin. To do so is contrary to love, for “Charity shall cover the multitude of sins.”
Pastor Todd Nibert

THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” (Malachi 4:2).

This is one of the many promises found throughout the scriptures that proclaim and declare unto us the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and salvation accomplished by HIM (2 Pet. 1:4). This promise is given to those that fear and reverence His name. We know the scriptures describe the ungodly as, "having no fear of God before their eyes" (Rom. 3:18). However, those that are humbled by Almighty grace, do have a saving and loving knowledge of God in Christ Jesus and truly worship and confess that Jesus Christ is all and all (Col. 3:11). Believers are described in Mal. 3:16, as those that speak of His Name and meditate upon His Name (John 12:41; 1Tim. 4:15). Notice several blessings that are given in this scripture.

1).The Sun of Righteousness shall arise. The Lord Jesus Christ is the very power and glory of the righteousness that every believer desires to be found in (Phil. 3:9; Jer. 23:5). It is only through the obedience of our Saviour unto death that fully answers to the demand of God's Holy Law (Gal. 3:13; Isa. 42:21). As there is but one Sun, so also there is but one Righteousness that justifies the ungodly, the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 4:3-8; Gal. 1:3-6; Rev. 22:2).

2). There is healing (salvation) in His wings (person). Our Lord Jesus Christ is known as, Jehovah Rapha: the Lord that healeth thee (Ex. 15:26). Our Redeemer declared He was sent to heal the broken hearted (Luke 4:18). Pardon of our iniquities and the cleansing of our sins are only through His blood atonement (1John 1:7; 4:10). With His stripes we are healed (Isa. 53:4-6; Psalm 103:1-4).

3). You shall go forth (set at liberty). Believers have been set free from spiritual death (John 8:32-36) and made new creatures in Christ (2Cor. 5:17). Set at liberty to serve the Lord as a loving bond slave and given spiritual life to honor and worship (John 4:24 ).

4). Grow up as calves of the stall. Every believer, upon whom the Sun of Righteousness shall arise, shall grow in grace and the knowledge of Christ (1Pet. 2:2). God has commanded that the Light should abundantly shine in us (2Cor. 4:6). Believers are like the calves of the stall, that are lavishly fed (Psa. 23:1); comfortably housed (Psa. 46:1); regularly attended with much concern (Heb. 13:5); and are assured of full growth (2 Pet. 3:18). Even so, the elect of God are blessed in Christ Jesus with every spiritual blessing and are assured of complete salvation (Eph. 1:3; 1Cor. 1:30; Col.2:9-10).
