Bad Rep or Full of Faith....

From the pen of Brother Bill Paceley,
I was thinking about my reputation and quite often I've made moves that were prayed about and God led but because someone didn't like it or didn't understand it...I received a bad rep. Being called every name but my own, many times in a church setting. But no one ever asked what's in your heart. Now this is not a post about me....but it is a post about men in the Bible who often get a bad review on steps they took...but were they moving by faith? I will share two with you.
Peter...We all know that Peter walked on water when the Lord said come. And we also know that he began to sink by taking his eyes off Jesus. And some give Peter a bad rep for taking his eyes off Jesus. But do you realize Peter is the only one to step out of the boat and desired to be where Jesus was.
Thomas...Forever known as doubting Thomas because he was not there when the Lord met with the other disciples in the LOCKED upper room the first time. But they were in that room out of FEAR! And God didn't give us the spirit of fear. So maybe Thomas wasn't there because maybe Thomas wasn't afraid and just needed to see for himself.
Now I'm not trying to convince no one of my thoughts. But I'm glad that the Lord looks on the intents of the heart and knows whats moving us to do what we do.
