True or False - According To The Bible....
- Adam was the first man but not a Jew
- Noah was a Jew
- Abraham was a Jew
- Ishmael is the father of all Arabs
- Jacob is the first Israelite and father of all Israelites, later to be called Jews
- The definitions of the measurements given in the Bible are supplied to us by God the Holy Spirit, not just the terms. (Example: “omer” in Exodus 16:36 or “cubit” in Genesis 6:15)
- At the killing of the firstborn in Egypt, it is commonly taught that this was carried out by “the Death Angel.” The Bible does not refer to an angel killing the firstborn, “the Death Angel” or otherwise.
- At the Passover, the first born male in every Egyptian household was killed – one death per household

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Each week, a series of True and False questions will be posted, with the answers appearing below. The object of these questions is for you to test yourself--not a test of obscure Bible trivia but a test of whether you are holding to Biblical revelation or to myths and legends passed down by ignorant men. You should ask yourself, “If I have believed this myth, what other myths do I believe?” The goal is that you will be challenged to faithfully read and study the Holy Scriptures and base your convictions on the holy, eternal, inerrant written Word of God.

True or False - According To The Bible....

Jews and Jewish Traditions & Old Testament
18. Adam was the first man but not a Jew - True
Adam was, indeed, created a historical individual, the first man (Genesis 2:7). At this time there were no races, tribes or classifications of mankind. The only classification was “man” and, as a result, Jews did not exist. No race, tribe, ethnic, geographic or political group may lay claim to Adam.

19. Noah was a Jew- False
At the time of Noah, man was still one race, speaking one language. The division of languages did not come until later, at the incident of the Tower of Babel (Genesis Chapter 11.) The Jews (Israelites) did not exist at this time, nor did they come to exist with the Noahic Covenant, when the descendants of Noah began to repopulate the earth.

20. Abraham was the first Hebrew. - True
Abram was from Ur of the Chaldeans (Genesis 11:31 & 12:1) but, without explanation, he is called Hebrew in Genesis 14:13. This is the first time this word appears in the Bible and, from this point onward, it is used exclusively with the chosen descendants of Abraham through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob and his twelve great grandsons by Jacob.

21. Ishmael is the father of all Arabs- False
This is an Arab myth to establish their claim to the so-called region they call “Palestine.” Palestine is the name given by the pagan/satanic Roman Empire to the land and nation of Israel, which is the chosen land, given by God to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. The word/name “Arab” does not appear in Holy Scriptures until Joshua 15:52, but it is unclear, at this point, as to whether this is a proper name, name of a city or a people. The Arab nation/race does not appear in Scripture until Nehemiah 2:19. A nation of Arabia, with kings, does not appear until I Kings 10:15 & II Chronicles 9:14. The Muslim religion did not appear until over 600 years after Christ and is certainly not limited to Arabs. The perpetration of this myth is a two-edged sword, causing much damage. First, it falsely gives Arabs, in specific, and Muslims, in general, a claim on the lands given by God to Israel. Second, it is a needless offence to Arabs, in specific, and Muslims, in general, as many Christians will say, “This is why Arabs (Muslims) are so wild. They are like asses, attacking everyone!” It is a needless insult to a people and a stumbling block to the Christian witness. Let us set this myth aside once and for all.

22. Jacob is the first Israelite and father of all Israelites, later to be called Jews - True
Though not the first Hebrew, Jacob was given the name Israel by God (Genesis 32:28) and, thus, became the first Israelite. His descendants, his 12 sons, became the twelve tribes of Israel and, thus, the Israelite people (Exodus 35:29.) The term Jew is introduced without explanation in II Kings 25:25 and Esther 2:5. This term is not offensive to the Jewish people, although is often used in a derogatory manner by anti-Semites.

23. The definitions of the measurements given in the Bible are supplied to us by God the Holy Spirit, not just the terms. (Example “Omer” in Exodus 16:36) - False
The Bible is completely silent on the sizes or lengths of its measurements. There exist no conversion tables on which we may rely. For instance, in Exodus 16:36, the Bible states, “Now an omer is a tenth of an ephah.” This may have been of help at some point in history but is not helpful today. There is no written record translating an “omer,” to an “ephah,” to an Egyptian measurement, to a Roman measurement, to a European measurement. There are no examples of a cubit, an omer, an ephah or other ancient Biblical measurements, which can be used for conversion to modern equivalents. All explanations of the size of certain measurements are complete fabrications. There may exist today sizes assigned to these measurements but they are done so with no Biblical or historical authority. Thus, when God the Holy Spirit teaches in Genesis 6:15 "This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits” and one asks, “How big is a cubit?” The answer is, “The Bible doesn’t say and no one knows.”

24. At the killing of the firstborn in Egypt, it is commonly taught that this was carried out by “the Death Angel.” The Bible does not refer to an angel killing the firstborn, “the Death Angel” or otherwise. – True
At the killing of the firstborn of Egypt, no angel is referred to and this angel is not named “the Death Angel.” Nowhere in Holy Scripture is there an angel referred to or named, “the Death Angel.”
Exodus 11:4-5
4 Moses said, "Thus says the LORD, 'About midnight I am going out into the midst of Egypt,
5 and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of the Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the millstones; all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
Exodus 12:29 “Now it came about at midnight that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.”
Exodus 13:15 It came about, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore, I sacrifice to the LORD the males, the first offspring of every womb, but every firstborn of my sons I redeem.'

25. At the Passover, the firstborn male in every Egyptian household is killed – one death per household- False
Exodus 11:4-5
Moses said, "Thus says the LORD, 'About midnight I am going out into the midst of Egypt, and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of the Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the millstones; all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
Exodus 12:12 For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments — I am the LORD.
The Bible says the “firstborn” – this could be male or female. If a firstborn father were married to a first- born mother, they had one child, living with them was a firstborn grandmother married to a firstborn grandfather and guarding the home was the pick of the litter-- the firstborn, then every single person in the home would die, as well as the dog. All firstborns were put to death by God.
