We will have a Fellowship Dinner March 9th.

A Successful Savior

God’s covenant was made eternally,
Before the world was framed for God’s glory.
This glory is His love and mercy shown
To a lost people that He made His own.

God gave His be-loved Son who died for sin.
Jesus came for these sheep, all known by Him.
Satisfied God’s demands, His blood availed.
A successful Savior, He’s never failed.

From the cross our Lord cried, “It is finished.”
The eternal purpose is accomplished!
He is salvation sure for all His own.
The shedding of His blood did sin atone.

Jesus, our Sov’reign Lord, sits on His throne,
Alive and resting from the work that’s done.
He has ordained to life such should be saved.
Our successful Savior, God’s Sure-ty made.

The show of His success is His redeemed.
They bow before their Lord, the One esteemed.
They worship forever the Lamb of God,
“Praise, honor, glory, to the Son of God!”

Tune: “Break Thou the Bread of Life” #176

Col. 3:11

Why do we as God's people say and believe Christ is all? First, because the word of God says he is. Secondly, God his father said he is; "this is my beloved Son hear Him", again; "no man can come to me except the Father draw him". Third, We need Him to be our All, because we have nothing of our own to contribute to God, to our salvation or our preservation. So we need Christ to be our All in everything before God for we cannot know, approach or be accepted of God except only in Christ. We need Him to be our All before our hearts and conscience for He alone can speak peace to a sinful heart and satisfy and purge our consciences from all it's dead works we had before Christ saved us by His grace. O yes Christ is All and we love Him for it and WANT HIM as our All. Bless His Holy Name.

~~~ O ~~~
The load will be too heavy for us!
I compare the troubles which we have to undergo in the course of the year - to a great bundle of sticks, far too large for us to lift. But God does not require us to carry the whole bundle at once. He mercifully unties the bundle, and gives us first one stick, which we are to carry today; and then another, which we are to carry tomorrow, and so forth. We can easily manage our troubles, if we would only carry the trouble appointed for each day. But the load will be too heavy for us—if we carry yesterday's burden over again today, and then add the burden of tomorrow to the weight, before we are required to bear it.
-John Newton
Mark 10: 46:…blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. All who the Lord shall save are like Bartimaeus. What he was outwardly by nature is what he was inwardly by nature: blind, poor, and unable to work to provide life. All he could do was sit and beg mercy from another. We are so blind by nature that we cannot even see we need salvation. When God gives us sight the first thing we behold is that our flesh profits nothing. Only then will a sinner come to Christ empty and begging mercy. - Clay Curtis
Things To Consider
The Lord’s people cannot sin away the grace and mercy of God in Christ but they can surely bring upon themselves great trouble and heartache in this world because of that sin! Nathan’s words to David should give us solemn warning: “The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.” (II Sam. 12:13,14) Even sin put away, never to be remembered in the world to come, has a consequence in this world.
Quotes by C.H. Spurgeon
· Every generation needs regeneration.
· It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes us happy.
· He that deserves nothing should be content with anything.
· A lie travels around the world, while Truth is putting on her boots.
· Nobody ever outgrows scripture, the Book widens and deepens with our years.
